I felt such a goose at the time. So glad you like Leslie Feist, too.. saw her in Sydney, and and she was just at the top of her game, but so unpretentious and happy with it. Were you aware of the significance of the venue and the song's subject? The Bloomsbury Theatre was the site of the only performance (to date - in 1982) of the British writer and painter Wyndham Lewis's self-styled 'Vorticist' play 'Enemy of the Stars'. Written in 1914 (revised in 1932) this was an example of Lewis's attempt to produce a literary equivalent to his visual experiments in a specifically English abstract art. It wasn't really meant as a dramatic statement, but more of an expression of a (latently political) attitude. Some coincidence!
