Being Portuguese I am not so lucky as to being able to attend good concerts. Therefore I very much loved the one you gave in Casa da Música in Oporto about a year ago (maybe more).
Been loving also your latest album, which is quite inspirational for someone who is soon taking exams that will enable him to become a judge next year.:)

Anyways, I hope you come to Portugal soon. And keep on with Giant Sand, your finest work of art.

Living in Oxford, I can say that it was an honor to have the first debate here. I am also happy that it was not cancelled. Thank you for taking the time to write this post and I hope you enjoyed Faulkners home!

Howe,

Hey man, hope the tour was a jewel in your hat of tours. I was at the Oxford show and thought you guys did an amazing set. I know you won’t remember me but when you came out on stage to set up and plug into the amp, you had asked me and a friend of mine if we heard if Mcain was going to make the debate and at the time it was still up in the air, but it was cool to just chat about real life-thanks for that.
I tell you man, Oxford was a special show. There was an energy in the town with the debate going on and the coolness of the place that was way relaxed but charged with electricity all at the same time. We saw when you guys pulled into town in the big brown bus and parked it in the alley across from the Lyric. We were sitting a couple doors down on the balcony over looking the square enjoying some drinks, the low humidity and wonderful temp. Your and Neko’s show was the icing on the cake to the couple days we spent in Oxford. I live in Louisiana and we drove up to see you guys and Neko. Not a long drive, about 4 hours or so but well worth every minute, it will be one of those treasured memories to always pull back on when you need it.
I want to say thanks for being there to make it special.
I hope the road treats you kindly in the weeks to come. I am going to be in the UK in November and am hoping to make the London show on the 25th. Please keep New Orleans in mind on any future tours if you can because we’d love to see you guys play here.
