all day long at the farm. the sun shined like it did when we were children. i was woken up by the sound of a new instrument. an inventor came by to show off his new instrument. a 10 string thing that gets set up to play with piano handed application.
my mouth was like paper from the single malt evening. sara climbed the stairs to hand me a coffee and juice there in the loft nest. so sweet.
i stumbled down to meet the day. we played this new instrument on the ancient cobbled stones there outdoors. its amplified fling mixed nicely with the birds chirp.
then sara took me on a walk around the grounds. absolute paradise.
a farm in spring time is a celebration of earth itself. one of the hands played some litzt on the steinway before we had to leave. i dabbled.
now we sadly left the perimeter of paradise. headed back again to brussels to find the airport. the band are all flying to rome to have a couple days off seeing the city and practicing eating. i had no plans. found a cheap flight to milan and headed there. scored a cheap 5 star hotel on priceline bidding and was ready to dig in and catch up on things like writing and sleeping.
uneventful travel there except that it allowed some time to gather my thoughts and listen to my heart. got to the hotel late. westin palace. as long as you remember not to touch the mini bar or order anything, these 5 stars are a good way to end the day. the beds, man, the beds.
was able to take in some dinner before slumber. rosy e gabrielle restaurante at 1 in the morning. spaghetti vongole and ensalada. mista. pizza too. for good luck. welcome back to italy. it’s been too long.
meanwhile the boys found themselves locked out of the hotel they were supposed to have reservations at. so they went to eat instead.
